As I’ve told you in my previous post, I’m moving to Sofia, Bulgaria to live and work there for an undetermined time, and one of the most difficult things is to choose what to leave behind and what to take with me.

I’ll be flying with Vueling and I will just take a hand bag with me that cannot weight more than 10 Kg and a 23 Kg bag. In case I exceed this weight I’ll have to pay an extra 10€ per Kilo.

I’m trying to pack everything I can, but leaving behind my furniture, some clothes, my guitars, my bicycle, my car and my turtle.

As for the turtle, It is strictly forbidden to take her with me to Bulgaria, I’ve contacted Vueling, Iberia, Turkish Airlines and Alitalia and they all gave me the same answer. My guitars are not coming with me yet, as it’s very expensive to take one of them with me while flying with Vueling (90€). I’m not taking many pieces of winter clothes as I haven’t got many, plus, in Bulgaria the winter is far colder than in Portugal and I should just buy new clothes around the month of October.

I’m packing the essentials such as most of my summer clothes, two pairs of shoes, all my flash drives, my external hard disk, an album of photos, my guitar files, my Playstation 2 with a few games and my Playstation Portable, so that I have something to do at night, specially while I don’t have a computer, my smartphones, my guitar accessories such as tuner, capo, picks and cables, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, a small notepad where I write down small notes, 2 jackets, a Legend of Zelda Hylian Shield and an Ocarina of Time, a camera, a necklace, a few piercings, my passport and my wallet.

I will try to come back for a visit in January and take one of my guitars and my bicycle with me.

I fly next friday. A new adventure, a new job and a new life for Wild Wild Basch
